Fahmi Alqhai, the son of a Syrian father and a Palestinian mother, grew up in Seville and breathes the musical melting pot of Andalusia. As one of today’s most brilliant and celebrated viola da gamba players, he and his expressive ensemble, Accademia del Piacere, push the boundaries of early music. Together, they bring the music of Andalusia to life with improvisation, passion, and virtuosity.
